All five islands: the mainline path

Each island follows the same skeleton: arrive β†’ meet the NPC β†’ collect the trigger item β†’ fight the boss β†’ hand in the trophy β†’ receive the next coordinates. What changes is the boss's difficulty, the island's hazards, and the gear you can buy.

Skeleton: one boss per island, one trophy hand-in, one "next coordinates" reward. The mainline closes the moment you hand in the trophy.

Island 1 Β· The Lighthouse

Environment: sandy shore, wooden hut, the old NPC Melvin.

  • NPC: Melvin β€” mainline driver for the first island.
  • Trigger: full beer β†’ empty beer can β†’ Spider Crab boss β†’ crab shell β†’ boat keys.
  • Shop: basic rod, Radar, knife upgrades, Hot Dog bait.
  • Island complete: boat keys + Radar ($10).

Island 2 Β· The Forest

Environment: dense woods, lakeside, a woman NPC by the lake.

  • NPC: the lady by the lake β€” wants 3 leeches for the boss bait.
  • Trigger: 3 leeches β†’ modified leech lure β†’ Giant Piranha boss β†’ fish skeleton (not meat) β†’ next coordinates.
  • Shop: shotgun (priority buy), pistol, dynamite, engine upgrade ($230), bag expansion.
  • Island complete: hand the skeleton in; receive the Desert coordinates.

Leeches only spawn in Forest grass; a single match has 3–5 of them, so a full sweep is enough. If you are short, you missed a spawn.

Island 3 Β· The Desert

Environment: sand dunes, the Grillmaster NPC, and a seated Traveler NPC.

  • NPC A: Grillmaster β€” a Blue Shark unlocks the grill.
  • NPC B: the seated Traveler β€” endangered fish (Needlefish, Seahorse, Bowlfish) trade for a Carrot bait.
  • Trigger: endangered fish β†’ Carrot β†’ Pufferfish boss β†’ Pufferfish fin β†’ Rocks coordinates.
  • Shop: SMG (Uzi), more bag slots, engine upgrade, dynamite restock.
  • Island complete: hand the Pufferfish fin in.

The Grill is the most important Desert reward: anything that can be sold can be grilled. Press F to monitor the multiplier; 1.5x is the ceiling β€” pull it off the grill at the peak, or it burns back down. Details in Money & gear.

Island 4 Β· The Rocks

Environment: rocky shores, storm clouds, Albatross on the prowl.

  • Trigger: Professional Lure catches a Tuna β†’ drop the Tuna on the ground as bait β†’ Albatross boss β†’ bird head β†’ Volcano coordinates.
  • Shop: Professional Lure ($1,200 per pack), sniper rifle, top-tier engine upgrade, final bag expansion.
  • Island complete: hand the bird head in.

The Albatross has two attacks: a dive and an aerial bomb drop. Teammates split up and shelter in different buildings; when you hear the bomb-spawn audio, hide. Bombs drop, you come out, snipe. Never stand in the open.

Island 5 Β· The Volcano

Environment: lava, Scientist NPC, the final bosses.

  • NPC: the Scientist β€” 5 random catches trade for a Fish Bucket bait.
  • Trigger: Fish Bucket β†’ Bowhead Whale boss β†’ throw the corpse into the volcano β†’ Mutated Bowhead Whale boss β†’ fin β†’ home-quest key.
  • Shop: Assault Rifle (with silencer), Scientific Lure, more dynamite.
  • Island complete: hand the Mutated Bowhead Whale fin in to unlock the home cinematic.

Volcano lava is a free 1.5x grill: any sellable item tossed in gets the multiplier without the burn risk. Use it to batch-sell the rest of your inventory before the final hand-in.
